Home visits. Care-home visits. One connected patient record.

01

Today’s Visits and the Visit Diary

Start with the visits that need your attention today. Organise booked and ad-hoc mobile visits, open the patient record and continue into the clinical workflow without treating every visit as an appointment at a retail branch.

02

The patient’s home and care-setting context

Keep home, care-home, nursing-home, supported-living and other mobile visit details alongside the patient. Record representative and carer context so the people supporting the visit are understood by the team.

03

Go directly into the full eye examination

Open the full ZenOptix eye examination directly from the mobile visit. There is no separate domiciliary pre-test workflow to complete first. Keep clinical findings, prescriptions and the patient record connected.

04

Clinical images and documents on your device

Capture clinical images and documents from a phone, tablet or laptop using a supported modern browser. Keep that material with the patient record for the examination and subsequent care. Cloud access requires an internet connection; offline working is not provided.

05

Dispensing without a retail stock catalogue

Continue from the prescription into dispensing. Enter frame, lens and extras details manually for a mobile patient, without needing retail stock control or a till session.

06

Lab Order PDF and Send to Lab

Prepare the Lab Order PDF and use Send to Lab to email the order to the lab. Keep dispensing and lab work connected to the patient. This is a document and email workflow, not a direct lab API integration.

07

Basic POS: record the payment you took

Record Cash, Card, Bank Transfer, Voucher or Other payments, including part payments and deposits. See the paid amount and outstanding balance against the order. Basic POS records that a payment was taken elsewhere; it does not process cards, integrate with card terminals or payment gateways, or provide online payment links.

08

Give the patient a receipt

Email a receipt or print it through the normal browser/device print flow. Mobile payment recording does not require a retail till, cash-up session or till hardware integration.

09

Deliver, post or arrange collection

Track delivery, postal or collection fulfilment after dispensing and lab ordering. Keep the next step visible so the patient’s order can be followed through to completion.

10

Communications, recalls and follow-up

Use SMS and email communications alongside recalls and follow-up to keep the patient journey connected after the visit. A patient or carer portal and online home-visit booking are not part of the domiciliary workflow.

11

Access shaped around your responsibilities

ZenOptix uses role-based access and audit-focused workflows, with UK-based hosting. Discuss staff responsibilities, supported devices and access arrangements during your demo, using the same security principles as the wider ZenOptix platform.

12

A focused mobile workflow

The domiciliary workflow supports the clinical, dispensing and payment side of mobile practice. It does not provide route optimisation or automatic care-home session planning. Bring your real visit sequence to a demo to assess the fit.

No. The domiciliary workflow centres on staff-managed visits, clinical care, dispensing and a simple payment screen.
