01
GOS claim preparation from the appointment
NHS work sits inside the same appointment and patient record as everything else, so claim preparation starts from the visit rather than from a separate system. ZenOptix prepares GOS claims locally from the appointment details your team has already captured. Electronic submission to PCSE or eGOS is not part of the product today, so treat ZenOptix as GOS-ready rather than a submission channel, and confirm your current submission route during a demo.
02
Referrals with NHS ODS destination lookup
Referrals are created, lettered and tracked against the patient record. When choosing a destination, search the NHS Organisation Data Service directory by name and the hospital or clinic address is filled in for you, which removes a common source of typing errors on outgoing letters. The same directory powers GP lookup on the patient record. Referral letters are produced and tracked in ZenOptix; electronic transmission to hospital systems is a connected-when-available layer rather than a feature you should assume today.
03
NHS numbers recorded accurately
NHS numbers entered on the patient record are checked against the standard checksum, so a mistyped number is caught at the point of entry instead of surfacing later in correspondence. ZenOptix does not perform live NHS demographic lookups. Bring your NHS paperwork and referral routines to a demo and walk through them against the real screens before making a decision.
